Како дел од серијата работилници „Култренинг“, лусијана ачугар ќе води отворена работилница за професионалци и непрофесионалци, со фокус на споделување и пренесување на нејзиниот проект Pleasure Practice. Поаѓајќи од различни соматски модалитети на исцелување, интуитивно движење, дишење, звучење и телесна свесност, работилницата ги повикува учесниците во колективни процеси што го истражуваат танцот како простор за исцелување, креативност, ритуал и поврзување. Развиен низ години кореографска практика, проектот Pleasure Practice предлага одучување на хиерархиските и ограничувачки модели на телесност, отворајќи можности за послободни, инстинктивни и релациски начини на бидување заедно. Преку пристапни и инклузивни формати, работилницата создава заеднички простор за колективно истражување, оснажување, ранливост, радост и заедничко телесно замислување.

Биографија:

лусијана ачугар е кореографка од Уругвај која живее и работи во Бруклин. Нејзиниот развој како уметница се одвивал во близок дијалог со њујоршката и уругвајската заедница на современ танц, работејќи независно и колаборативно од 1999 година. За неа, театарот е простор за утопија; утопијата е практика; практиката е ритуал; ритуалот е посветеност; посветеноста е танц, а танцот е практика на бидување во задоволството. Добитничка е на две Bessie Awards, а била и номинирана за Epilogue во рамките на OTRO TEATRO: True Love (2016). Добила бројни признанија и грантови, меѓу кои Guggenheim Fellowship, Creative Capital, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, MAP Funds, Jerome Foundation, Austin Critic’s Award за најдобра гостувачка претстава во 2015 година, Alpert Award во 2017 година, како и NYFA Artist Grants, меѓу другите. Нејзиното најново дело PURO TEATRO: A Spell for Utopia започна како онлајн-проект на Инстаграм за фестивалот Time-Based Art на Portland Institute of Contemporary Arts во есента 2020 година, а премиерно беше изведено во живо во театарот The Chocolate Factory, заедно со Skirball Center for the Performing Arts при NYU, во ноември 2021 година. Во 2022 година ја добива стипендијата USA Doris Duke Fellow, а во јуни 2024 година завршува магистерски студии по танц на Bennington College.

За Култренинг:

Од 2016 година, Локомотива континуирано гради средина на поддршка за танцова едукација, размена на знаења и уметничка практика преку програмата Култренинг. Оваа иницијатива нуди часови за современ танц наменети за пошироката заедница – од професионални танчер(к)и и уметници, до ЛГБТИК+ заедницата и сите заинтересирани за техники на современ танц и истражување на движењето.

Во соработка со локални, регионални и меѓународни кореограф(к)и и танчер(к)и, Култренинг дава постојана поддршка за развојот и видливоста на локалните уметници, истовремено создавајќи достапни можности за пошироката заедница да се вклучи во висококвалитетни работилници за современ танц, секогаш бесплатно. Со текот на времето програмата прерасна во значаен простор за одржување на практиките на движење, претставување нови едукативни пристапи во танцот, развивање грижа и градење колективен импулс.

As part of the Kultrening workshop series, Luciana Achugar will lead an open workshop for both professional and non-professional participants focused on the sharing and transmission of her Pleasure Practice. Drawing from somatic healing modalities, intuitive movement, breathing, sounding, and embodied awareness, the workshop invites participants into collective processes that explore dance as a space of healing, creativity, ritual, and connection. Developed through years of choreographic practice, the Pleasure Practice proposes the undoing of hierarchical and restrictive models of embodiment, opening possibilities for more liberated, instinctive, and relational ways of being together. Through accessible and inclusive formats, the workshop creates a shared environment for collective exploration, empowerment, vulnerability, joy, and embodied communal imagination.

Biography:

luciana achugar is a Brooklyn-based choreographer from Uruguay who grew as an artist in close dialogue with the NY and Uruguayan contemporary dance communities, making work independently and collaboratively since 1999. In her work theater is a space for utopia; utopia is a practice; practice is ritual; ritual is devotion; and devotion is dance and dance is a practice of being in pleasure. She is a two-time “Bessie” Award recipient, and was nominated for Epilogue for OTRO TEATRO: True Love (2016). She has received many accolades such as the Guggenheim Fellowship, Creative Capital Grant, Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grant, MAP Funds, Jerome Foundation, 2015 Austin Critic’s Award for Best Touring work, 2017 Alpert Award and NYFA Artist Grants amongst other accolades. Her most recent work “PURO TEATRO: A Spell for Utopia” began as an online project on instagram commissioned by and for the Portland Institute of Contemporary Arts’ Time-Based Art Festival in the Fall of 2020, and was premiered as a live performance at The Chocolate Factory Theater co commissioned by NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in November 2021. She was a 2022 USA Doris Duke Fellow and she graduated from Bennington College with an MFA in Dance in June 2024.

About Kultrening:

Lokomotiva has been continuously fostering a supportive environment for dance training, knowledge exchange, and artistic practice through its Kultrening program since 2016. This initiative offers contemporary dance classes designed for a broad community – ranging from professional dancers and artists to the LGBTIQ+ community and anyone interested in movement-based exploration.

In collaboration with local, regional, and international choreographers and dancers, Kultrening provides consistent support for the development and visibility of local artists, while also creating accessible opportunities for the wider community to engage in high-quality contemporary dance workshops, always free of charge. The program has become an important space for sustaining movement practices, presenting new educational approaches in dance, cultivating care, and building collective momentum over time.
