(Non)Aligned Movements is the project that is designed to boost the creative and collaborative potential of contemporary dance in the Western Balkans. It reinforces the social impact of Balkan contemporary dance by raising its capacities for action and collaboration, by promoting its heritage and by inscribing it in future discourses and cultural practices.

In the following period, Lokomotiva will be the host of this year’s choreographic research team of the (Non)Aligned Movements project: Viktorija Ilioska, Aleksandra Janeva Imfeld and Aleksandar Georgiev, and provide a space for their research work, public presentation on 19th of November, as well as their exchange with the local scene.

A kickoff meeting within the project (Non)Aligned Movements was held on June 26-30 in Belgrade, organized by Station – Service for Contemporary Dance as the project leader and partners Lokomotiva – Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture, Nomad Dance Academy – NDA Slovenia, Nomad Dance Academy – NDA Bulgaria and TANZFABRIK Berlin, Germany.
