Lokomotiva, Skopje is organising the third KULTRENING choreography and dance workshop with the dancer and choreographer Boban Ruseski.

The workshop “Emotional dance tools“ with Boban Ruseski will enable the participants to familiarize themselves about possibilities of bodily engaging movements and tools for creating and staging their own choreographies.

The workshop is divided in two parts, the first part is a warm-up and study of floor technique, followed by the development and continuation of work on the choreographic work “Social Criticism”, a work by Boban Ruseski staged in 2019. (for the festival for young choreographers “DanceLab” with one dancer, in 2020 at the dance festival “Tanс Fest” the same piece was reworked with an added vocalist and actor on the stage itself and is titled “Jas&Sara – Social Criticism”, in 2022. The dance festival “Dance Fest” is staged with a new line-up, namely three dancers and is titled “Social Criticism” with the music by Martin Modent, costume design by Mite Zanov, visual artist Iva Stankovska).

The workshop “My body, my home“ with Hristina Angelovska will encouragе free movements enabling the participants to present themselves in the way they want and want to be recognized.

The workshop will be conducted according to principle that each participants can create movements, define a relationship and the freedom in it, everyone can breathe freely and move as long as they need it. Anyone can start and stop whenever they want, they just need to have a strong enough reason to do so.

“Sensitive Body“ with Tereza Lazarev

LOKOMOTIVA – Center for New Initiatives in Art and Culture invites you to the second KULTRENING/Choreography and dance workshop “Sensitive Body” with Teresa Lazarev at the Youth Cultural Center (MKC).

The “Sensitive Body” workshop is composed of three parts:

1) embodying

2) practicing

3) sharing

Through working with different images the participants together with Tereza, will try to create a space for rising awareness of personal moving patterns, while creating a space for explore new ones. Working on their own, with a partner or in a group, the participants will practice how to play with touch.

Zajkova is a keen researcher of ancient eastern disciplines and the principles behind them, which she applies in her practice physically as well as spiritually. In this workshop, she will share some of her ongoing research and long-term knowledge. For the participants without previous experience, the workshop will be a way to harmonize and balance the cognitive and the physical, whereas physically active participants (dancers, movers, athletes) will be offered a different perspective and new concepts of movement and the body.
